Fort Ann Lumber Yard
"After several years of construction work, I bought a small handset sawmill from a farmer in 1972 and built a building to house it. My uncle Howard Petteys in Wilton gave me a blade and power unit for it. I ran it for about 6 years. In 1978 I bought another mill and ran it until 1988. Then I put in today’s automatic mill which we still run today. We sawed mainly hardwood logs from 1986-2008 and now retail mainly softwood for buildings, docks and crafts, etc."
